  1. OSMOSIS says:

So help me, you don’t KNOW How Long I’ve Been LOOKING For The “TRUE VERSION” of this movie (saw it on Showtime back in the day as “Brother Charlie”–if you catch me). Been wanting to see it ever since I was in Junior High (when it first came out), but is was scarce in my area theaters (again, that title). BUT, it was THE Black Western I wanted to see–instead, I saw Fred Williamson and Richard Pryor AND Durville Martin in another, ‘comedy’-western called “Adios Amigo” in ’77. NOW to finally catch the REAL Legend. Thanks, Rarelust.

  2. Enrobed says:

Rarelust is a gem to preserve these Blaxploitation classics before the frothing censors get to them.

  3. Adix says:

Thanks Rarelust, but the subtitles of the first one (The legend…) seem not working, seem of an other film

    • Bobby says:

Yes I discovered that the subs were incorrect too, not for “The Legend of Nigger Charley” & brought it to Rarelust’s attention, the file has been remuxed without subs, I discovered the subs belong to a 2017 TV movie called “Mommy’s Little Boy” ;)

  4. Robbytag says:

For Western lovers with African American actors

    • OSMOSIS says:

Not that much of stretch for Williamson and Martin, because I saw them in a “comedy” western with Richard Pryor made a couple years after this called “Adios Amigo”.

  5. Charlie says:

Be interesting to remake these with the modern trend of race swapping.

    • Ali says:

You mean remake them as “The Legend of Cracker Charlie” and “Boss Honky?” No I think the “web designers” that call themselves “Directors” in Hollywood should leave our classics alone…Or is “Django Unchained” not enough for you?

      • Muff Diver says:

Amen to that! I wish the major studios would keep their greedy dick skinners off the classic films we (I) grew up with and stop with these $hitty remakes.

All they’re doing is watering down classic stories for the sake of minor profits from young & naive movie watchers, most of whom couldn’t find their own asses in the dark with both hands.

        Stop the madness!

      • Enrobed says:

Well said, though I don’t think the “web designers” would be interested in that sort of reciprocity.
