Description: Resurrection of Eve is the tale of Frank and Eve Paradise, who discover that it takes a lot more than physical attraction to make a relationship work. Their conflict stems from Frank’s unrealistic jealousy which so upsets Eve that she becomes involved in a car accident. When Eve is “resurrected” as a beauty following plastic surgery, she and Frank make amends and are soon married. However, their nuptial bliss is hampered by Frank’s reluctance to give up his pre-monogamous life-style. Thinking he is missing out on a lot of action, Frank persuades the hesitant Eve to attend group orgies with him. Although disgusted in the beginning, Eve soon learns to enjoy them, much to Frank’s dismay.

From the Mitchell Bros, the guys responsible for the infamous cult classic “Behind the Green Door,” only “The Resurrection of Eve” is the much better film. Starring the gorgeous Marilyn Chambers as a young bride who has some inhibitions when it comes to sex, due to being molested as a child by her Mother’s sleazy boyfriend. Eve’s husband, arrogant Record Producer, an aptly named Frank Paradise, played by the equally sexy Mathew Armon (who never appeared in another film) forces Eve to join in on his “Swinger” lifestyle, and at first she is disgusted by the idea, she eventually begins to come out of her shell, which inexplicably arouses great jealousy in her supposedly Libertine husband. Interestingly, Frank only becomes jealous when Eve hooks up with Black men, which brings to mind all kinds of Freudian observations. This one is filmed in truly sublime early 70’s retro style. it looks terrific, and it also has a fantastic soundtrack that i wish was available on vinyl! This movie is required viewing for fans of Marilyn Chambers..
