I’ve been seeing posts on Facebook about this movie in the last couple weeks
Sucker for theses Doug McClure adventures. Thanks for the extras as well.
Science Daily May 11, 2026: Scientists say Dante’s Inferno described an asteroid impact 500 years before modern science. “Dante’s Inferno may have been far more than a religious epic. New research argues that the 14th-century poet essentially imagined a catastrophic asteroid impact centuries before modern science understood meteors. In this interpretation, Satan crashes into Earth like a giant cosmic object, blasting through the Southern Hemisphere and reshaping the planet itself — carving out the circles of Hell while forcing up Mount Purgatory on the opposite side of the globe”. THE EXACT IMAGE IN THE POSTER, bet RL read the same, thanks.

One of those great fun films they made in the 1970s. Thank you.
THIS–and WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS—were the ONLY TWO “Doug McClure/Edgar Rice Bouroughs’/Amicus films I MISSED in the movie theater. I can tell you from experience, that was the best way to see them. Awesome fun, though (and an wild, high rated ABC Sunday Night Movie Premiere, when it came to TV in 1978!! Ha Ha–I Loved IT!). Thanks, Rarelust. (And yes—we bad 12/13-year-old boys went to see these movies for The Girls!! )
YAHOOOOO! Doug McClure again in another great adventure to the centre of the earth. Great fun!! Thanx for adding this classic. I remember the movie Warlords of Atlantis, another great classic with Doug starring in it. ENG subs included as well, how cool. ;)
First movie I ever got to go see by myself. I was 8 years old. Fucking exciting is all I can say. Heheh!
