Paul Verhoeven’s femme fatale precursor to BASIC INSTINCT. When Paul was able to truly embrace all of his European sensibilities as well as is theological beliefs. I grew up on Verhoeven’s ROBOCOP and TOTAL RECALL and only discovered his Dutch films in the past ten years. Seeing where he came from with SOLDIER OF ORANGE, SPETTERS and THE 4TH MAN, I see his American films in a new light. A must see film by a truly brave artist.
