It was a fully intentional irony to cast the couple of Harrison and Palmer. The story almost perfectly mirrors a real life incident involving them and actress/singer Carole Landis. A story well worth reading, that made Harrison ostracized for a few years.
I’m surprised that the heirs of Carole Landis. did not sue the movie producers for its similarities to what happened to her.
Ive seen people sue studios for things that look kind of banal in comparison, like the Peter Sellers relatives suing the team behind the Pink Panther by the way his character of the Inspector was portrayed on a movie after his death.
