      THANK YOU RARE LUST!!

This has been a perennial favorite of mine since I was a boy. Long before the days of Terminator and Predator, there was KILLDOZER!

This movie was so famous, that they named a machine after it, that some guy made in his garage, in order to go on a rampage through his hometown, due to corrupted government criminals.

One thing I really love about the old time movies is they were totally focused on entertainment only, never on trying to be realistic. The further back we go in film and the closer we get to vaudeville type performances, we are only looking at entertainment, never reality. The Three Stooges, Addams Family, Hogan’s Heroes, Twilight Zone, Honeymooners and Bugs Bunny are all a good case in point, not to mention Star Trek TOS, etc, etc.

Really, any threatening land-moving machine that has a top speed of slower than the casual walking gait of a human being, turned into some sort of nefarious space monster is really cool by me. This always reminds me of old time movies where the monster never really ran after its prey, yet the prey was always running at top speed, yet could never seem to escape the villain.

Yeah, old Frankenstein, Halloween, Friday the 13th movies certainly had this quality. Really, if we are trying to pretend to be realistic about such entertainment then the question becomes, “if some mad scientist can reanimate nerve tissue and brain matter, then how is it that he cannot seem to repair elbows and knees for this same monster to walk and get around normally?” Haha.

Killdozer has some really great old-timey actors in it too. There is no such thing as watching enough Clint Walker movies, one of the truly great macho men of his era. Has anyone ever noticed that Clint Walker and Fess Parker seem to be the same person? Also another perennial favorite of mine is Neville Brand! Before Nick Nolte and Gary Busey there was Neville Brand! He’s back from the film noir period when men were men, and sheep were scared!

Again thank you RARE LUST! This is by far the best website on the entire internet! And as an ongoing humble request, more Clint Walker movies please.
