Meir Zarchi belongs to the same club as Robin Hardy (The Wicker Man and The Wicker Tree) and Robert Hiltzik (Sleepaway Camp and Return to Sleepaway Camp). These directors have made fewer than ten features combined, but all have substantial cult hits that they followed up decades later with poorly received sequels. While none were able to recapture their earlier success, I have a soft spot for each of these foolhardy and daring attempts.
It’s the worst of the series, mostly for being absurdly long and for having a chick that is totally not believable as a model.
