    1937–from “PCL” (ne’ “TOHO”). The earliest Drama I saw from that period was “OSAKA ELOGY”–a Delinquent Girl Drama, starring Takeshi Shimura (yes..THAT Takeshi Shimura-sensei), from DAIEI. We need MORE “Pre-War” Surviving Japanese Cinema.
