Description: Sachiko Hanai (Emi Kuroda) is a call girl. One day she is caught up in a gunfight and is shot in the forehead. Instead of killing her, the bullet in her head gives her psychic powers. Damn, man. This movie is so wild. Such a crazy blend of intellectualism and sex and weirdness it’s going off the deep end in several different places at once. The word “masterpiece” gets tossed around like cookies these days, this movie truly is one. And is truly a neglected hidden gem. While everybody else was sitting around watching P.T. Anderson and Larry Clark and thinking they were such hot shot edgy film makers I was quietly watching films like this and Miike’s Visitor Q eat them for lunch. People are stupid. The fact that this isn’t on a Criterion blu ray is proof of that.
