I stand corrected…
The old lesser quality copy that I have only has one ending. So naturally I decided to download your better quality version. However, I was not aware that somebody had re-edited and grafted all three endings into a single film. I wrongly imagined that your copy only had one of the three endings. But I am now thinking it has all three endings. So my former request for missing versions is now null and void.
Sorry about that. Mea culpa.
I only found this out by watching your entire version. So for anyone looking for all three versions of this movie, this version already includes all three of them the way the ending has been re-edited and regrafted into the story.
Thank you for sharing this movie.
.
One of my all time favorites, thanks RL!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you RareLust for posting this movie. I really enjoy these old British style manor house mystery movies, although this one is regarded as a mystery comedy. I remember seeing this at the theater when it came out. It reminded me a lot of Murder by Death. Both movies have similarities.
However, I have a humble request though. Apparently this movie came out with three different versions. I have no clue how or where you find a lot of these old movies that are very hard to find. But I was wondering if you might have access to the other two versions? And if so, I was wondering if you would be so kind and generous to post them here on your web page. I have tried to find the other two versions, but at this moment I have not had any success in finding them.
Again, RareLust, I really appreciate what you do here on your website.
PS: I am sorry that I posted this comment twice on your website. I had mistakenly posted this comment under the similar movie, Murder by Death. It was a mistake on my part.

For those of you who like and enjoy the manor house mystery movies, my all-time favorite is the 1972 Michael Caine and Lawrence Olivier movie, Sleuth. And if you like horror style mysteries, my favorites are Leonard Nimoy’s Baffled and the 1978, The Legacy, starring Katherine Ross and Sam Elliott. All of these movies are posted here on Rare Lust, and are a lot of fun to watch.
