I’m 100% with Gordon here, so I won’t add to that, other than: Robby, we all know these are mostly B-movies, I’m guessing the name of this website is a give-away in this respect. I’m just grateful for the extreme and otherwise impossible to find rarities provided here in niche topics from such untrodden Islands and underwater worlds, to Jungle Girls, Mermaids, and whatever else. RareL, you rock! And you keep upgrading, unfathomable! Keep up the good work!

    Howdy Robbytag,
Thanks for the input and the warning, but I think I’ll watch not because I’m a beach person, but rather because I’m a Maren Jensen fan… ; – )

Not sure what the guy meant by “cheap production values…” maybe he had a problem with the film makers using real sharks (and other exotic sea creatures) , rather than CGI creatures. Everything shown in “Beyond the Reef” is REAL, including the scenes of the actors playing with big sharks under water. It’s also a valuable documentation of a world that no longer exists; the wild, sparsely inhabited island is now just another tourist trap, built up with giant hotels and restaurants and beach shops….and teaming with tourists..Even if you aren’t interested in the story, which seems to be basically aimed at children, the underwater photography and the scenes of island natives, taking part in their ritualistic ceremonies, not to mention the stunning beauty of the two leads, should be enough to captivate anyone who appreciates the beauty in cinema..those who are unable to see that should stick to the generic trash being produced by Hollywood today…
