This was one of those “made for TV blockbusters they don;t bother with anymore.
Believe it or not, it was also one of NBC’s highest rated TV Movies–mainly because when the “impact” happened, the SPFX were off the chain. NBC, at the time, could seriously blast a good SPFX Made-For-TV Flick (hey, think “V”), but besides this one, they couldn’t touch the rival ABC Network for sheer audacity. Yeah…Phoenix—didn’t live up to its name in THIS film. Thanks, Rarelust.
