RL, if you also have HD copy of Cobra Verde (1987/111mins) Herzog’s last film with Kinski would be fantastic to upload.
This is even too classic, come to think of it. Not that I have seen it yet or that it’s very famous, but it depresses me to realize that I now only watch films with the likes of Kinski, Adjani… who has changed a great deal since those years, not only externally. She has said of another contemporaneous role that it is something one takes on when one is young and discovering oneself. That must mean that the time of experiments is long gone for her. And here I am, searching for those ages, those faces, those fine passions and those material environments: solid furniture, wall clocks, elegant dress, stone castles, horses, nature. All of the things that are actually long vanished. I feel no nostalgia, yet there is no future for me.
Sustainability, Innovation, Adaptability is the current trend. No industry survives if they built products for a lifetime, they survive with disposable or new innovative ones, exciting times as long as we can adapt to change. And change was there all the time, now it’s only moving faster. Youth as a decisive factor (Adjani) is not sustainable, you must be the likes of Huppert to cope with.
PS: btw I decided to sell a Goodmans 40-40 amp with a sold wooden frame, some guy from Japan immediately jumped in (they love wood as spiritual matter), so future always there, it’s the right audience!
Thanks for the German language version.
