This movie effectively portrays some incredibly heavy issues, primarily abuse. One minute, you’re wondering how prevalent it is and who you may know that’s a victim. The next, you’re presented with an often explicit coming of age story and hoping that in your next life your girlfriend’s mom is as hot and accommodating as Maeve Quinlan’s character. My oh my. Now that’s a MILF.
