Awesome rare movie, I think a lesser-known film in the “Quinqui,” genre (or juvenile delinquent) films, that deal with Spain’s wild youth after the collapse of the Franco Years…If you like this one check out “Perros Callejeros”and “Navajeros…” as far as the “JD” genre goes, those movies are the absolute best. This print of “La Patria del Rata” unfortunately does not have English subtitles, so you can still watch with the Spanish audio, or watch with the English dub, which is unfortunately HORRIBLE…Hopefully “Rata” will get picked up for a bluray restoration, like many other Quinqui movies have been….
