Saw this movie when it came out at a movie theatre on 147th street and Broadway and underrated comedy classic with an absolutely great performance by Mr.Baldwin and the late comedian Charley Barnett. Thanks rarelust for all these great classic comedies and dramatic works love peace and hair grease rarelust.

My younger Brother, Edgar, is in this movie, marching with the legendary CARDOZO SR. HIGH SCHOOL Marching Band (under the direction of the late, great Robert Gill) at the closing credits of this movie. For DC Fans of “DC CAB”…THIS is the legendary “Rose Bowl Parade” Class of The CARDOZO “Clerks” (1981-1982), with Micheal Dorsey as Drum Major. Former Classmate of mine. My brother told me that BOTH MR. T and GARY BUSEY are cool people off-camera.

(OH–and that scene of “DC Nightlife” was REAL–it was the late, legendary “14th Street”…I can attest to that. Sadly, gentrification sent “14th Street” into “legend”.)

    Thank you, Rarelust.

Commentary is with film historian/filmmaker Daniel Kremer and film critic Scout Tafoya.

Hmm, I don’t have anything with Mr. T in it. I’ll grab this one, at least for historical reasons, and 1983 was a good year.

    Thanks again!

If you haven’t seen it, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised. One of my favorite quietly great movies of all time. Hilarious.
