By the time of ‘Head’ the group had decided to destroy Frankenstein’s monster.
‘Head’ was the prime example of this.
It gave them the opportunity to finally kill the myth.
Such a pity because by ’67 the group were creating in my mind the best music of their short careers. ‘Headquarters’ is a brilliant album.For a group of supposedly… non musicians.
By ’69 and ‘Head’ the group were over.
