One of Jordan Scott’s very few offerings. Being the daughter of Ridley Scott, she no doubt had good inspiration for making movies herself. I wish there were more of them. Cracks is rather good, and above all, as a lesbian very much in love with image aesthetics, like her father, I think she is exceptionally good at filming female beauty appealing to the female gaze, and to the male gaze, alike. Her flawless music video of Télépopmusik’s ‘Breathe’ (the version for the European market) is, of course, iconic, and it pointed in the direction of something like Cracks, although Cracks could have been taken further into Jordanland, I think. Anyway, another fine offering from RL.
