B-movie as b-movie can be. Actually good camera work and lighting, very much 80s-neon that we can as well call it vapour-wave underworld. The makeup-artists also did a nice job. We even have a couple of better-known B-movie actors like Steven Berkoff (always the high-stake bad guy) and Ingrid Pitt, who clearly were in need of a few Dollars.
On the B-side (and I mean bad side, pun intended) there are shallow, stupid dialogues, an inept miscast for main character and a strange editing that ruin both the tension and the story.
Could have become a sort of nostalgic cult movie. Instead it became a rather rare curiousity.
Recommended for fans of 80s-video style, who don’t mind a little Dr Moreau “masquerade”.
