The Great Rock n Roll Swindle (1980)

Directed by: Julien Temple

Stars: Malcolm McLaren, Sid Vicious, Steve Jones

Language: English

Country: Uk |  Imdb Info  | Dvdrip

Also known as: Who Killed Bambi?

Description: A rather incoherent post-breakup Sex Pistols “documentary”, told from the point of view of Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, whose (arguable) position is that the Sex Pistols in particular and punk rock in general were an elaborate scam perpetrated by him in order to make “a million pounds.” Silly and hard to follow at times, but worth seeing for some excellent Pistols concert footage, some wickedly amusing animated sequences, and Sid Vicious’ eerily prophetic performance of “My Way.”

  1. The Pistols changed my life 78. A rocker kid from the wrong side of the trax, first job at KFC, and this awesome bleached blonde chick who listened to weird music. loans me Never mind the Bullocks, Gary Numan, Ramones and the Clash, life was never the same, for the better. Taped them all on to cassette overnight and cut my hair, and got a black leather jacket. Amazing times those days, thanx for this B’last from the past.
    KUDOS R/L!
