Description: Separation, scripted and starring Jane Arden, concerns the inner life of a woman during a period of breakdown – marital, and possibly mental. Her past and (possible?) future are revealed through a fragmented but brilliantly achieved and often humorous narrative, in which dreams and desires are as real as the ‘swinging’ London of the film’s setting.

@Nick: There’s a bunch of these floating around, all BFI Flipside releases: Vread (1971), Permissive (1970), Herostratus (1967), Nightbirds (1970), Private Road (1971)(great music!), Psychomania (1973), Lunch Hour (1961), You’re Human like the Rest of Them… more recently also the Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, Expresso Bongo and Beat Girl.

Thanks very much for this, a rare ‘artyfact’ from 1960s Swinging London, featuring music of Procol Harum.

    A great find!!!!
