A friends daughter is visiting Rome for the 1st time and we agreed to have movie night here for her before she goes. I had a list of Rome-based films to see, including La Dolce Vita and The Great Beauty, but realized that I (shockingly) didn’t have a copy of this film in my library. I was minutes away from looking for a deal on ebay when I see it here on my favorite corner of the internet. Thanks once more for being there when I need you, RL!
More than 70 years old and still a gold standard all romantic comedies must be compared to. Fantastic story, fantastic cast, fantastic environment and scenes. By the way, surprisingly sober and sad(?) ending.
