DescriptionMyron Breckenridge (Rex Reed) goes to Europe for a sex change operation and returns to the U.S. as the voluptuous Myra (Raquel Welch). Insisting that she is Myron’s widow, Myra enrolls in an acting school run by her uncle, Buck Loner (John Huston), where she meets man-hungry talent scout Leticia (Mae West in her first film role in 26 years). Myra becomes the object of affection for a lesbian, Mary Ann (Farrah Fawcett), and sleeps with a virgin, Rusty (Roger Herren), while seeking Buck’s help in securing an inheritance.

    The book is fantastic. The movie however is okay. Wish someone could make a version without all the annoying film clips in it. I enjoy the cast though and I think Raquel does a fantastic job despite all the chaotic direction behind the scenes. I seriously think she’s very underrated as an actress.
