Saw this movie in theatres and I remember the crowds were hyped up for it. I remember waiting in line to get in (I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time) and there were guys in gorilla suits dressed up entertaining the crowds. Love this movie and Jessica Lang gave me one of my first boners that I can remember.

I love this version more than the others. Jeff Bridges is brilliant and particularly that score by John Barry. Fantastic. The photography is great too as is Jessica. It deserves far more kudos than it has.
As great as a director that Jackson is, that version is super reliant on cgi. None of that in ’76. Not that effects is it’s best quality. Atmosphere is. The scope was huge.
Jessica Lange at her sexiest. I remember the TV cut airing but I was too young at the time to stay up for it.
