my same thots as ‘muff diver’ above. this movie iz one of the best of all time (and a ‘made for tv movie’ at that). i had discovered this film on youtube, but iz such poor quality, not worth watching

I remember watching this made for tv movie back in ’78!
Dark Secret was so creepy back in the day; all the kids at school were talking about it the next day.
I’d never forgotten the otherworldliness & generalized atmosphere of anxiety and dread of this story. With their emphasis on harvests, sacrificial offerings and other “Dark Secrets,” they’re like an American cousin to Summerisle and the Wicker Man.
As I recall, there were several plot twists that I had that I couldn’t figure out at the time. Maybe I just need to watch again.
