I remember well my love of Julie Christie from this film and then slipping into Far from the Maddidng Crowd the next year. Truly a Christie-lover’s Double Feature.
Also, I remember vividly the scene of the ladies enjoying their interactive soap-opera on the big-screen TV… at that time, just Sci-Fi and now…reality. Mine’s just about her size of 65″…
So let’s hope the book-burning doesn’t come soon… in an America that now is seeing book-banning…
Truffaut was fully capable of doing a fine “Hollywood” sci-fi film. This proves it.
AND THANKS for your Truffaut Collection here on Rarelust.
Great movie which evokes past historical experiences and the reality that’s unraveling today. As someone said, “science-fiction is always right”. THANKS!
WHO said that?
Someone.
Thank you rare!
