  1. Jean-Claude Michel says:

The scenes in the planet were lifted from the 1956 Filipino movie “Tagani”, in b&w, directed by Rolf Bayer. Apparently Sam Sherman still has all the elements for restoring the original movie… it seems much better that the Al Adamson footage with John Carradine !

    Appreciate your efforts. Thanks again.

  3. tak says:

Oops, I almost missed this one, with the one of a kind John Carradine!

    Thanks for this surprise RL.

  4. Ariel Bender says:

Well said, LN… and don’t forget Andy Milligan! Lord, what a series of stinkbombs he left us with. Films so bad they create a bizarre subgenre where ‘auteur’ can be used as a descriptive. Why even worry with new trash parading as the real thing when the Gods have already provided us with a wealth of garbage to fill several lifetimes still waiting to be discovered! Aah, life is grand.

Oh geez, what’s the world coming to? A blu-ray of “Horror of the Blood Monsters’ with commentary even. This dung heap sat on my video store shelf for two years without renting and the only time it left the store was bad movie night at my house. In a world full of pretentious crapola being spewed out daily posing as intentionally bad movies and unintentionally intentional compost, it’s good to know we can always rely on Al Adamson, Ed Wood, H.G. Lewis, Ron Ormond and many other unsung golden age trashmeisters to set the world straight on how it’s done. Thank you, RL for doing your part in spreading the truth.

  6. David says:

Thanks for this old Sci-Fi classic!

  7. Phaota says:

Commentary is with producer Sam Sherman.
