It wasn’t what I expected. The story is dark and thought provoking. Some of the scenes were riveting (e.g. Uma’s). The sex is indeed explicit, but often emotionless. Those seeking pure erotica will likely be disappointed because the movie is as much about the damage and destruction the main character leaves in her wake as it is her insatiable sexual appetite.
But the movie isnt erotica movie, is classified as Drama. And its true, its a unconfortable movie. Ninphomaniac isnt funny, its a decease and those one suffer a lot.
