Yes. This is why the film has never been released in the UK.
Today we would get CGI chickens, and it would be shit. The 1970’s had no animal rights protection, and although it is disturbing, we got many powerful films that decade. Thankfully, there are laws in place now, to protect animals. I’m equally as thankful that these movies exist today, and will exist for all time, so these animals did not die in vain…
