Does anybody know if anything else by Bosco Lam is good?
This and Underground Banker are on Rarelust, and he did the God of Gambler movies, I thought he did other stuff since the name was familiar but i don’t see more recognizable films on his profile.
Unfortunately, I don’t see any breakdown of what’s different about the alternate Mandarin cut, so we’ll just have to watch it.
Crazy and surprisingly fun movie though, despite its grim concept there is comedy and jokes in this too, plus just absurdly extreme violence. (And that Julie Lee / Elvis Tsui flying sex scene is the stuff of legend.)
(‘Comedy and action’, I meant to say, not ‘comedy and jokes’.)
