    Hi guys and gals,

I’m looking for the 1989 Simon Dutton series of Saint movies. There were basically six 2 hour movies in the set. It is generally referred to as a television series, but as each “episode” is movie length, I consider it a movie series. The list of them is as follows:

L1 The Brazilian Connection. (written by Anthony Horowitz.)
L2 The Blue Dulac.. (written by Peter Palliser.)
L3 The Software Murders.. (written by Peter Palliser.)
L4 The Big Bang. (written by John Goldsmith.)
L5 Wrong Number. (written by John Goldsmith.)
L6 Fear In The Park. (written by Patricia Johnson.)

    Hope you can help. Thanks.

This was in fact both a two part episode in he Roger Moore SAINT television series, and also a theatrical movie (in the UK) which was edited for that purpose. I presume that this is the Movie version. There was another two part episode that was similarly edited for a theatrical release, ‘Vendetta For The Saint’.
There is also ‘The SAINT And The Brave Goose’ which was the movie edit of the first two episodes of the second season of the Ian Ogilvy SAINT series. Many UK series have had similar treatments for Double episodes, including ‘Space: 1999’, ‘The Persuaders’, and in the USA ‘The Man From U,N,C.L.E.’. There are also several series who had original movies made from them during their run including ‘Dad’s Army’, ‘Father, Dear Father’, ‘Bless This House’, ‘George And Mildred’, ‘Man About The House’, and ‘On The Buses’ (which had several). There are many more, but too many to list here. A more high profile US film series would be the 1978 ‘The Amazing Spider-man’, and its two sequels, the second of which ‘Dragon’s Challenge’ was an original film and not a reedited double episode from the series.
