There was NO Penelope Ashe; the actual writing of “Naked Came The Stranger” was a collaboration between several different writers to write a deliberately terrible novel. But leave it to Radley Metzger to find a way to make this work as one of 1970s adult entertainment’s masterpieces, hoax or no.
