Peter Lorre and Steve McQueen another gem.

  2. Stock says:

See Tarentino’s retelling in Four Rooms 1995 which includes some other super performances!

A Zippo lighter. Oh, yes, I remember this story. I read it in an old anthology back in middle school, forty years ago. It’s the kind of story that stays with a young fellow.

This was an excellent episode, one of my favorites!
The viewer also gets to see a rising star, a young Steve McQueen, starring opposite his first wife. Peter Lorre is perfectly cast as the creepy stranger.
You won’t be able to predict the ending, which is one major reason this episode is so memorable.
    Thanks, RL :)
