Really enjoyed this post! I had no idea about the extent of Hitler’s fascination with Hollywood. The footage of the Nazi propaganda films is chilling. Great research and writing, as always!

This was a great documentary, casting some light on (for me, at least) a largely unknown body of work. Anyone curious about the “other side” of this, there is the 2009 documentary “Cinema’s Exiles: From Hitler to Hollywood”, narrated by Sigourney Weaver. It can be easily found googling for its torrent. Both complement each other wonderfully, offering a wider picture than each separately, Thank you, RL!
