I saw it on cable TV late at night back in the 90s.
Went to see this movie when it came out at 42nd Street in New York
A truly underrated cult classic.
42nd street “the deuce” was my favorite place to go see movies back in the day because it was affordable. I always had lots of fun on the deuce because most of the time I went with a bunch of friends. The place was dirty and had its issues, but I was used to it, so it didn’t bother me. Good times! Now everything is gentrified and expensive. New York has lost its soul. it needed to be cleaned up but they went too far, Disney has no business being on 42nd street in what was essentially a red light district.
