Thanks so much for this gem!!!
You’re the absolute best. Appreciate the quality, the commentary tracks and the extras. Superb!
Un clásico de los 80’s. En especial por el excelente maquillaje de Baker. Excelente aporte
Never understood why the director took Rick Baker’s amazing and jarring visuals and turned the movie into a comedy…smfh
Landis se caracterizó por realizar comedias en toda su filmografía. Que esperabas?
That’s a good point; just imagine if John Carpenter had directed it.
If John Carpenter had directed it, it would have been a piece of crap. Get some taste. The movie is perfect and one-of-a-kind. You obviously like formula. Horror fans are the dopiest, lol.
You mean turn it into something more than just scary, but disturbing, sexy, tragic and funny as well? Turn it into an unpredictable classic that both exemplifies the best of the genre while managing to satire its cliches. Create a firm with characters you care about using human touches that include a sense of humor so that when terror or tragedy strikes the audience really feels it? With the amazing transformation body horror moments and heavy gore, stunning nightmare sequences and doomed characters this could have been a strictly humorless and unrelentingly downbeat 97 minutes, but Landis wisely remembered that some of the best thrillers are ones when howl with laughter to break up the times you scream in terror.
Thanks for sharing.
This is excellent, RL!
These extras add so much to the experience for the serious film fans. Thanks so much!
Many thanks for those great extras! Well done. No wonder, and without any doubt, that you’re #1 on the net!
