‘It’s casual’
One of my favorite films of the 1980s. An excellent soundtrack that includes original instrumental work from Eddie Van Halen. Christopher Penn is delightfully dumb and I like this much more than brother Sean’s ‘Fast Times At Ridgemont High’. In addition to the great cast listed in the post, there’s also Jenny Wright and Rick Moranis plus cameos from Randy Quaid and Nancy Wilson of Heart. Be sure to check out director Art Linson’s underrated ‘Where The Buffalo Roam’ as well. Bill Murray plays Gonzo writer Hunter S. Thompson several years before Johnny Depp did in ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’. Thank you RL!

This fascinating film is a sort of new wave version of ‘Fast Times At Ridgemont High’ starring Sean’s brother, Christopher, and a personal favorite. There’s so much going on here. The first thing that will grab you is the soundtrack. When it’s not peddling a great obscure rock song or classic, the original soundtrack is instrumental Eddie Van Halen! Rick Moranis and Randy Quaid are always welcome as well. If you are a fan of 80’s culture and haven’t seen this, you’re in for a nice surprise and see if you can spot Heart’s Nancy Wilson in a cameo.
WILD LIFE was another staple of “Video Parties” back in the day. LOVE this BD Transfer.
