Odd movie somewhat based on Keith Laumer’s satirical scifi novel. Much of the story is different and the ending is entirely changed from the original source. Thanks RL for this lesser-known comedy!
For trivia buffs, during a brief sexual fantasy by Guy Stockwell’s character when Susan Oliver is getting into an old biplane there is a single frame of a topless dancer from Orgy of the Dead (a film written by Ed Wood).
The Monitors is so campy and silly but it’s still great fun. This film has been on my personal wish list for several years now.
