    Philosophically speaking…

I do not really look at this series of movies in a literal sense, but more figuratively instead.

The reason is because, the writer is making fun of sheeple culture or herd-mentality culture. It is a metaphor for people who cannot think for themselves, but instead mindlessly follow after others in front of them, living off their sleazy and in human “mental excrement.”

To me, sheeple culture or insecure idiots, who mindlessly follow along in herd mentality, with not even a dime’s worth of discernment or self-respect, all get what they deserve. You see these types of losers all the time on antisocial networks, literally begging and groveling for people to punch a “like button” for them. Talk about total depletion in humanity.

These series of movies were more like prophecies. For example, if you are one of those insecure idiots on the antisocial networks, broadcasting yourself to the whole world for the sake of some cheap and meaningless validation for an insecure ego, or to pretend somebody likes or cares about you, basically living a virtual lifestyle with virtual friends and virtual family, then all you can ever expect to get or eat in life is someone else’s feces. A pretty rotten and and inhuman and meaningless existence, if you ask me.

These are the type of sheeples that will go from cradle to grave, and at the end of their miserable lives they will suddenly discover that they never really lived. These are the people who are literally terrified of freedom, because they are terrified of taking responsibility for themselves.

To me, these movies depict people who literally victimized themselves with their own forcibly self-imposed herd mentality. To me, these movies depict people who are terrified to be free and terrified to have a brain.

Though these movies are not branded as comedy movies, but when viewed from “laughing at such herd-mentality, mindless sheeples”, suddenly this series of movies is really the same thing as Mike Judge’s “Idiocracy.”

Only on the surface do these movies look trashy, but the deeper underlying message is one of deep and profound insight into pop culture, and how 98% of all people live and behave. These movies literally perfectly show mindless sheeples with their self-imposed herd mentality, so they need to be depicted as trashy as possible, because that’s exactly what these types of sheeples are: “trashy biogarbage.”

These centipede movies are really nothing more than a philosophical societal critique, and have absolutely nothing to do with the alleged visual content we are tricked into looking at. The writer of these movies is really making fun of the mindless sick and insane world of pop culture that he is looking at.

  2. Jim says:

Shocking as it may look, there is now an official special cut of the trilogy. All free movies combined into one.

Certainly not for weak stomachs, but you may want to include it as well.

Crazy, but true. I swear this is not an April Fools prank. it is called human centipede Complete Sequence,

  3. Like2Look says:

I’m pretty sure this is where they got the idea for BFP (Brazilian Fart Porn). Just kidding. Actually, I just wanted to say thanks to RL. I’m a changed man since first finding his treasure chest a few years back. I thought I knew a little about movies. Turns, out I didn’t and still don’t know squat. Who knew?

  4. 6102grover says:

    Thanks for sharing.

  5. SeattleNerd says:

Once you get past the initial visual shock these get boring quickly. Crappy plot full of holes (no pun intended), crappy acting, and part 2 and 3 are the same as part 1, just longer chains. That was 5 wasted hours of my life that went down the shitter and left a bad taste in my mouth.

  6. dudely says:

I believe the colorized version of part ll is not edited. The different run time is due to differences in PAL/NTSC playing speed. From what I read the colorized version is uncensored.

  7. OSMOSIS says:

At ONE TIME, the term “ATM” meant “Automated Teller Machine” for banking. THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE, well, changed all that.

    And HOW!!

Thanks for giving us the whole thang, Rarelust.
    (I think I can STOMACH it—that’s a “joke”, ya’ll. )

  8. happyflashjack says:

Thanks so much for this! As disturbing as this movie may seem, it’s not nearly as bad as the sequel. I never saw the 3rd one, I can’t even begin to imagine what that would be like.

  9. Jim Bob Joe says:

This movie leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  10. Ripley says:

I have a strange loyalty to this much-maligned sleaze classic; I’d argue that beyond its shocking central point, it’s a well made and moody horror film. And Dieter Laser is so committed to the role that I wouldn’t want to stay overnight in his house. Big thanks!

  11. Tony says:

A sweet disturbing classic. Amazed I saw this and A Serbian Film in cinemas. Those were the days!

    • Jim says:

You do have a very strong stomach then.

      Way stronger than mine.

These movies are really endurance tests.

I had to cover my eyes during some of the scenes.

The people behind it really knew how to shock the audience.

I have to give them credit for it.

      • Tony says:

        Yes Jim,
although I would probably say there are some smaller niche horror titles that were harder to watch for me.

Thanks to Rarelust for adding the sequels. I want to check out the colorized versions of II. That is probably the best overall, even though I love the humor or Part III and Bree Olson is super cute in it. Recommend them all!
