This movie was filmed at the time when the communism in the central Europe was nearing its end. The regime was crumbling at the second half of eighties and this is quite evident in this movie as well. The release date in Czechoslovakia was 1989. The very same year when communism fell in November. It depicts a view on contemporary youths and conflicts with older generations, especially how much out of touch “oldies” were. Very funny comedy with a lot of classic gags (e.g. Russian language graduation exam where a student tries to make some valid Russian sentence — Russian language at that time was quite disliked (even hated) among youths but the regime still insisted on learning Russian).

No subtitles, again! Why post a movie without subtitles? Think about it, ja?
