The purists will have my head for this… But I think this “Sasori: Female Prisoner Scorpion” reboot, might be even better than the original… Of course Yumi Takigawa doesn’t have the animal intensity of Meiko Kaji, and she might be too classically “pretty,” but the movie itself seems harsher, the violence more intense…. Anyway don’t dismiss this as some kind of worthless remake… this is am EXCELLENT Women In Prison movie….
The Scorpion is played by Yumi Takigawa, the Goddess from “School of the Holy Beast…”
