Very very interesting! Checking it now, thanks so much RL

A long-lost now gloriously HD’d film about ecstasy that made me feel like dancing and crying and falling in an ecstatic heap. Beautiful to look at, and with smart and winning characters in knots of convoluted desire! So – low budget, yes, artistically composed, very much so, and with a good role for Duane Jones and an even better role for Ganja and Hess director Bill Gunn. The relatively unknown Seret Smith hides a capricious and steely will and a questing intellect under a squeaky facade! But maybe she just wants to have fun. I love this movie. The director was reportedly a bit of a mess, but she was an honest artist, and after death, that’s the most important thing. Thank you, RL.

  3. Phaota says:

Commentary is with professors LaMonda Horton-Stallings and Terri Francis.
