Note 10 days after RL uploaded the film the Notre Dame towers reopened after the 2019 fire with pres. Macron strolling among the gargoyles (BBC video), the exact same area is shown in the film with outdoor views of Paris documentary-style. Awesome!

Haven’t seen it and it’s wonderful to get a glimpse of ’20s fantasy FHD courtesy RL, note at this point in his career Claire is in the circle of Man Ray ,Erik Satie, Marcel Duchamp, what a fantastic voyage indeed, many thanks
…latest restoration by Cinémathèque Française but there is no audio, isn’t there? Even so the film brings the goosebumps, in a scene ugly witches turn to beautiful ladies after being kissed by a man then all start to dance. Clair captures not only their expression but their gaze one by one as they’re being transformed. Now the film is 100 years old, all these actors are gone,, Cinémathèque Française notes “on regarde des fantômes évoluer dans le cadre”, transparent phantoms on the screen. A surrealist’s dream coming alive 100 years later. Amazing!.
