Is this file corrupt? Plays for 5 seconds, then nothing until around 17 mins.

I’ve watched this so many times I’ve lost count. It shares a claustrophobic narrative style with ‘Taxi Driver’. Every action and reaction involving the central character reveals him to be unbalanced and ready to crack from the beginning, yet Noe evokes sympathy and audience identification for his character very much in the same manner as Scorsese did with TD’s Travis Bickle. Absolutely brilliant film making and some riveting musical cues. Thanks RL… wish Noe’s commentary had subtitles!

Thanks a lot for this upgrade ! Gaspar Noe deserves it!
If anyone wants, I can send 3 other films from Noe: Climax (2018), the alternative version of Enter the Void (2009) and Carne, a short (1991). All with English audio or subs.

  4. Tony says:

This is the only film I can think of that has an onscreen warning during the film before a particular scene. Gaspar Noe is dark, dark, dark.
