Part of the incredible boxset “House of Psychotic Women,” it’s truly amazing what these “boutique” labels are reviving from obscurity; Considering that all new films being produced are worthless shit, it is especially important that older, quality cinema can be accessed. Thank you once again Rarelust…

    • HrNn says:

Prior to that “House of the psychotic women” thing it was part from a Polish dvd boxset together other polish movies in the 90s: The Phantom and other ones. so this label discovers” nothing but re surface the partially forgotten” flicks.

    • Maestro says:

The truth is that these “boutique” labels were a bunch of collectors back in the 90’s when these rare movies from Europe were being bootlegged here on VHS. I know because I was selling this type of stuff and the guys who went on to become Severin and Vinegar Syndrome used to buy from me and other vendors at horror conventions.
These independent companies formed a bit too much, too little, too late as the fan base for these obscurities has died down. Take notice of how quickly Blu-ray releases are going out of print nowadays. They’re only pressing 5000 and less. Also, another reason why it took until the 2020’s for these companies to get these rarities out is because they spent the early 2000’s and 2010’s doing American movies. Now they’re reaching for what to release to stay in business. And that’s facts. Had these movies come out in the USA 20 yrs ago, these boutique companies would have made a fortune.

I hope RL will approve my comment. It’s harmless conversation.
