Fukasaku is amazing and under-appreciated. For the uninitiated: check out “Virus” aka “Day of Resurrection”. A 1980 post-apocalyptic film that really stuck with me as a kid. A virus wipes out most of humanity and the surviving scientists are left to try and figure out how to save who’s left. Sound familiar? Enjoy, kids.
Choppy playback, pretty unwatchable…too bad..
Masterclass Yakuza film from Kinji Fukasaku, one of his lesser known works deserves more attention. Thanks for posting!
