Agreed… One of the few Ozploitation movies that I could get into…. “Dead Easy” is the definition of “Eye Candy…”
Absolutely nuts movie, this is like a Gangster movie on acid, featuring some of the most impressive art direction ever..the sets, the neon the cars, the fashions, the pulsating 80’s synth soundtrack and the beautiful cast, “Dead Easy” is like Nicholas Refn ‘light…’ Filmed in a rough part of Australia known as “The Cross,” you would swear it was filmed in NYC’s sleazy Red Light District circa 1982. Honestly the story is so complicated that I understood little, but this is a case of style over substance and the visuals were so fun that it made no difference. Glad to discover this one here..
