  1. I was named after Ronald Howard the son of famed British actor Leslie Howard who was killed in 1942 fighting for the Alliess My mother loved Leslie Howard who played Ashly Wilkes in Gone With The Wind. And she wanted to name me Leslie but my father said all male Howard’s have an R in their first name, i.e My father Ralph. My mother found out after Leslie had a son Ronald, hence, my name Ronald Howard,DOB i944.

Interesting as this was made into a foreign short film and utilized as a Twilight Zone episode as well.

This story, originally written by Ambrose Bierce, is a classic tale.

‘Occurrence’ has been dramatized over radio, republished in short stories, and on several tv and film adaptations. The first time I saw this story was via short film while I was in grammar school, 50 years ago.

The Hitchcock crew did their usual excellent story telling with this edition.

      Thanks for uploading :)
