  3. OSMOSIS says:

How do you set up a whole generation for life? See Jayne Badler as “Diana” have “dinner”. YUM!! (And…dayam!!)
Thanks Rarelust for the REAL Deal (and not that later ABC “remake-sequel”).

  4. Zahnadu says:

Thank you so much for this! I love the original mini-series (and series) so much more than the remake. Is there any chance you might add the second min-series as well? :)

    Thanks for posting.

Responding to the 1st post: A lot of mini series & TV movies of that era were to be shown in theaters in other countries. So they needed to be shot in that ratio and cropped for US TV broadcast.

  6. Ali says:

I wonder how they got the widescreen picture format for a tv movie from the 80’s. Did they blow up the picture or something?

  7. MC says:

    Thank you!

This is one of the greatest miniseries of all time. Some of the effects might be a tad dated today, but the story is an allegory for World War Two. The second miniseries, “The Final Battle”, was ok but without Kenneth Johnson to steer it, it kind of went off into hokey territory. I was just a kid when this came on but conversations at the bus stop and the playground were dominated by this tv event. Only later as I got older could I appreciate the historical context a little more.

Some great characters in V the final battle but the glowie starchild was too much. They had another script version that went with the hypersmart trope and she deactivated the device that way instead of the glitter.

  9. Ody says:

    thanks for the miniseries

Kenneth Johnson says they gonna make a V movie !!!

  10. Moviebuff says:

Thanks for putting this up. It was such a good mini-series.
