Thank you very much for this excellent movie. I’ve watched not a few of Luc Besson’s films, but for some reason, missed this one. Really enjoyed it!

  3. Martin says:

First appearance of Jean Reno in a movie, as far as I know. Jean Reno plays the drummer.

No Martin , as per wikipedia he had already acted in 7 films before SUBWAY. I haven’t seen them except le derneier combat 1983 and that film is a totally different experience to watch !!!! Do watch that 1 if possible and Jean Reno is excellent in that film too

hi there! thank you very much, this is my favorite movie of all time! I’m looking for decades now for the making of, once available on youtube. This one hour making of was shown once on French television in the 1980s and directed by Jean-Hugues Anglade (the “roller” guy in the movie). Could anyone here own this rarely seen treasure? Thank you.

Oh Boy Howdy had I forgotten all about this lil’ punk rawk masterpiece of a bygone era, seems like yesterday. 85, wow, I would have guessed it closer to 80, but, well, the late 70’s early 80’s were interesting times. I mean, back then, what would you do if stuck deep in the subway, same as today i bet, start a band with your fellow castaways, Now thats Punk Rawk.
